How not to curb Piracy of intellectual in Kenya

On Monday 21/05/07,i made an honest effort in promoting musician eric wainaina's new album "twende twende" but the price tag of Kshs.1000.00 per CD copy at Nakumatt lifestyle branch simply did put me off.I think Kenya's original music is just too expensive for ordinary kenyans, the reason why we'll keep buying pirated music is the cost of original stuff.artists should seek to lower their cost of production.otherwise how many kenyans we'll buy an orginal CD for Kshs.1000.00 at supermarkets, whereas you can get same quality PIRATED CD for Kshs.100.00 or less in the back streets of NBI & msa

Hello Chrissy?
gauging by avereage Kenyan income, a CD ablum should retail at about Kshs.340.OO or US$ 4.00, This way there will be increased sales and the industry will be vibrant, since more Kenyan will be more willing to buy original stuff and shun pirates. Thanks
